Physical Blocks reimagines the classic block-stacking formula by removing the grid entirely and letting real physics take control. Inspired by Not Tetris and created with the original developer’s consent, this game transforms a familiar concept into an unpredictable, chaotic, and highly replayable experience. Every block is fully simulated, responding to gravity, collisions, and momentum in real time. Precision still matters—but adaptability matters even more.
Blocks fall freely from above and can be rotated at any angle, creating endless possibilities for creative placement and unexpected outcomes. Instead of snapping neatly into place, pieces tumble, slide, and stack naturally, turning each drop into a small physics experiment. Time, balance, and spatial awareness become just as important as strategy.
Full Physics-Based Gameplay
Every block in Physical Blocks is governed by realistic physics. Pieces are not locked to a grid and react dynamically to gravity, impacts, and pressure. Structures can lean, collapse, or stabilize depending on how blocks are placed, making each session feel fresh and unpredictable.
Free Rotation and Creative Control
Blocks can be rotated freely at any angle, allowing for unconventional solutions and creative stacking techniques. This freedom opens up new strategies while also increasing the potential for chaos when structures don’t behave as planned.
Dynamic Line Clearing
Lines clear when they are sufficiently filled rather than perfectly aligned. When a clear occurs, blocks are sliced into smaller pieces instead of disappearing instantly. These fragments continue to interact with the environment, often creating chain reactions and surprising outcomes.
Multiple Game Modes
In addition to the core experience, Physical Blocks includes Stack mode, where the goal is to fit as many pieces as possible into a confined space. This mode emphasizes efficiency, balance, and long-term planning under constant physical pressure.
Online Leaderboards
Competitive players can test their skills against others worldwide through online leaderboards. High scores reward both clever placement and the ability to manage chaos as the structure grows more unstable over time.
No Forced Ads
The experience is uninterrupted by forced advertisements, keeping the focus entirely on gameplay, experimentation, and mastery.
A Fresh Take on a Classic
Physical Blocks delivers more chaos, more freedom, and more emergent gameplay than traditional block-stacking games. By combining familiar mechanics with physics-driven systems, it creates moments that are tense, funny, and entirely unscripted. Every session tells a different story, shaped by gravity, timing, and player decisions.
FAQs
Q1: How is Physical Blocks different from classic Tetris?
A1: Physical Blocks removes the grid entirely and simulates real physics, allowing blocks to rotate freely, collide naturally, and collapse under gravity.
Q2: What happens when a line clears?
A2: Instead of disappearing instantly, cleared lines slice blocks into smaller pieces that remain in play and continue interacting with the environment.
Q3: Does the game include multiple modes?
A3: Yes, along with the main mode, Stack mode challenges players to fit as many pieces as possible into a limited space.
Q4: Are there ads or interruptions during gameplay?
A4: No forced ads are included, ensuring an uninterrupted and immersive experience.
Q5: Is Physical Blocks inspired by another game?
A5: The game is inspired by Not Tetris and was developed with the original creator’s consent.
Version History
v2.75—23 Feb, 2024
Hello
v2.7—22 Aug, 2023
Overhauled the block movement system. Added a new style called "One-Bit", that is only black and white. Added a very fun option of modifying friction of Tetrominoes, which can make them behave almost like fluid! Improved UI and others. Added 7-bag.
Let me know if you prefer the new system! I hope it will be easier to master.
This is THE final-final update. I hope the game you got is polished and that you had and will have fun :D
Thanks for playing and suggestions! GL!
