About Scat (31)

Scat is an exciting, fast-paced card game where the goal is to achieve a hand total of 31 points—or as close as possible—using strategy, quick thinking, and a bit of luck. The game is simple to learn but offers plenty of depth, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced card players.

How to play:

At the start of each round, players receive three cards. The deck's remaining cards are placed in the middle of the play area, and the top card is flipped to begin the discard pile. During their turn, players choose whether to draw a card from the deck or the discard pile. After drawing, they must discard a card from their hand to maintain three cards in total. The goal is to achieve a hand with a total of 31 points—or as close as possible—by using the same suit cards or three of a kind.

When Can You Knock?

Once you feel confident that your hand is strong enough, you can knock on the table, signaling the end of your turn. After a knock, all other players get one final chance to improve their hand before the round ends. If a player manages to hit exactly 31 points, they immediately win the round and the opponent loses.

Scoring

· Aces: 11 points

· Face cards (Kings, Queens, Jacks): 10 points

· Other cards: Worth their rank (2-10)

· Three of a Kind: 30 points

Simple & Strategic Gameplay

Scat is easy to understand, but it offers plenty of opportunities for strategy. Choose carefully when to knock and how to manage your hand. It’s not just about luck; you’ll need to make smart decisions to stay ahead.

Play Against AI or Friends

You can choose to challenge an AI bot or go head-to-head with friends online. Whether you're looking for a quick challenge against the computer or an intense competition with friends, Scat has you covered.

Knock and Win!

The exciting knock mechanic adds an extra layer of strategy. Knock too early, and your opponents might steal the win; knock too late, and you might lose the round. Timing is everything in Scat!

Scoring System That Keeps You Engaged

Aces worth 11 points and three of a kind equaling 30 points add a nice layer of excitement to the gameplay. Every decision you make could be the difference between winning or losing.

Lose 4 Times and You’re Out

The stakes get higher as players are eliminated after losing four rounds. This adds tension and motivates players to improve their strategies as they continue to play.
