About NHS App

The NHS App offers a simple, secure, and convenient way to access a wide range of NHS services from your smartphone or tablet. Designed for anyone aged 13 or over and registered with an NHS GP surgery in England or the Isle of Man, the app brings healthcare right to your fingertips. You can also log in via the NHS website on a computer to use many of the same features.

Access NHS Services Anytime, Anywhere

With the NHS App, you can access essential NHS services at any time, wherever you are. Request repeat prescriptions, use the NHS 111 online service for urgent medical advice, and find nearby NHS services with ease. Depending on your GP surgery’s capabilities, you may also be able to book appointments and contact your surgery directly about health concerns.

Manage Your Health with Ease

Stay on top of your health by viewing your GP health record, including test results, through the app. Manage upcoming appointments, track prescription requests, and make important health decisions, such as setting or updating your organ donation preferences.

Receive Important Messages

Stay informed with secure messages from your GP surgery and other NHS services. By enabling notifications, you can receive alerts instantly when new messages arrive, helping you stay connected and up to date on your health care.

Manage Services for Family Members

The NHS App allows you to switch profiles to access NHS services for other people, such as a child or family member. To do this, both you and the other person must be registered with the same GP surgery, which will need to grant you permission.

Secure and Easy Login

Setting up the NHS App is straightforward, guiding you through creating an NHS login if you don’t already have one. You’ll verify your identity for security, ensuring your information stays private. The app supports biometric login options like fingerprint, face, or iris recognition on compatible Android devices for fast and secure access every time you open it.
